Thousands of strangers from all over the world joined the friends and family members at the wedding of Ariel Bigel and Sarah-Tehiya Litman on November 26th, 2015. The wedding was postponed due to the drive-by shooting murder of Sarah's father and brother by terrorists a week and a half ago near Hebron. The bride's family resides in nearby Kiriyat Arba.

Some estimated the crowds to be almost 10,000 at Binyanei HaUmah, Jerusalem's International Convention Center. After the terrorist attack, the family announced that they would like to invite "everyone" to the celebration.

The crowd filled the Binyanei HaUmah parking lot with spontaneous singing and dancing. Inside the convention center it was equally as exuberant.  By 11pm, people still streamed in, carrying Israeli flags, drums, guitars or just coming to show their support to the newlywed couple. They sang traditional wedding songs as well as inspirational Jewish songs such as Am Yisrael Chai (The nation of Israel lives). Some even brought wedding gifts and donated money to the couple with whom they had no prior connection.

The following video is a excerpt from an Israel Broadcast Authority news report about the wedding.

"Even though something tragic happened, it's an amazing opportunity for all of us to come together," stated one participant interviewed by the IBA. Another stated that rather then call for revenge, the couple chose to turn their wedding into a massive event.
